Project Engineer II - SRM Development (Remote)

About the Role

We are seeking a Project Engineer II to join our Solid Rocket Motor Engineering Team. The Project Engineer II will lead or coordinate project planning, resourcing, staffing, progress reporting, and troubleshooting across multiple programs. You will lead an Integrated Project Team (IPT) to design, develop, manufacture, and deliver products, serving as the engineering interface to program management, senior leadership, and the customer community. This role ensures project results meet requirements for technical quality, reliability, schedule, and cost.

Responsibilities

• Performs engineering design evaluations and completes projects within budget and scheduling constraints.
• Reviews industry policies and procedures to ensure data accuracy, security, and regulatory compliance.
• Reviews reports of production, malfunction, and maintenance to determine or address problems.
• Provides technical support for the engineering process.
• Designs, implements, and communicates an operational plan for completing the project.
• Monitors progress and performance against the project plan; resolves operational problems and minimizes delays.
• Identifies, develops, and gathers resources necessary to complete the project.
• Prepares engineering designs and work specifications.
• Develops project schedules, budgets, and forecasts.
• Selects materials, equipment, project staff, and external contractors.

Requirements

• Associate's Degree in Engineering (required).
• 2-4 years of relevant experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Ability to remain stationary at a desk and/or computer for extended periods.
• Work primarily in a climate-controlled environment with minimal safety/health hazard potential.
• Up to 25% travel likely.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering.
• Oral and written communication skills.
• Analytical thinking and design review experience.
• Project engineering and resource planning expertise.
• Technical project management experience.
• Familiarity with Computer-Aided Engineering (CAE) software and project management software.

Pay

The pay range for this position is $80,000–$108,000 (USD). Individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, internal equity, and relevant education or training.

Hired applicants may be eligible to participate in the Company’s Gain Sharing Program.
