Project Engineer II (Land Development)

Responsibilities

• Carry out tasks assigned by the Project Lead and engineering team.
• Develop working drawings for civil design plans in AutoCAD Civil 3D (grading, drainage, utility, stormwater management and street frontage improvements) from sketches.
• Use engineering judgment to perform duties and know when to ask questions, seek assistance or perform independent research.
• Manage personal time allotted to various tasks in order to meet obligations of one or more projects, including budget, quality and schedule.
• Provide accurate design of on-site and off-site improvements for the planning and construction of commercial, industrial, and/or high-density residential projects that are ready for construction.
• Can provide accurate design of grading, drainage, utilities and stormwater treatment with minimal input from engineer of record.
• Perform civil engineering calculations, SWPPP’s and other engineering reports.
• Effectively interact with peers, clients, and sub-consultants.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or an equivalent level of experience.
• 5+ years of experience in land development.
• Engineering in training (EIT) or Professional Engineering License.
• General knowledge of computers, Microsoft office, Adobe, Internet, etc.
• Experience with AutoCAD required.
• Additional software experience a plus, e.g. Bluebeam, Agtek, Hydrology/Hydraulic Software, AutoCad Civil 3D.
