Project Engineer II

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate technical aspects of land development projects from planning through construction.
• Prepare, schedule, coordinate, and monitor engineering project activities.
• Review project plans and proposals, recommending modifications and improvements as needed.
• Perform complex engineering assignments, including construction layout, engineering calculations, field inspections, and testing.
• Develop plans, specifications, cost estimates, reports, and other engineering documentation.
• Prepare and distribute project specifications and schedules to internal and external stakeholders.
• Monitor project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation to ensure successful project delivery.
• Oversee the work of consultants, contractors, and project team members.
• Perform quality control reviews and provide regular project status updates.
• Communicate with clients regarding project progress, technical issues, and recommendations.
• Ensure compliance with applicable engineering standards, regulations, and project requirements.
• Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams to achieve project objectives.
• Perform additional project-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field from an ABET-accredited program.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license or the ability to obtain licensure within the first year of employment.
• Seven or more years of professional experience managing land development projects through all phases.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary engineering teams.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
• Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Knowledge of engineering principles, regulations, industry standards, and best practices.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Experience using AutoCAD or MicroStation design software.
