Project Engineer II

Responsibilities

• Interpret project plans, specifications, and details for subcontractors and craft persons
• Implement the pre-construction quality plan and manage testing and inspection processes
• Obtain and maintain construction permits; manage fee payments and recurring expenses
• Develop and maintain Material Tracking List, Project Test and Inspection Listing, Concrete Placement Log, and Non-Conformance Report
• Manage, create, and distribute contract documents; establish handling procedures for electronic documents (RFIs, correspondence)
• Manage submittals: set up register, obtain customer/architect approval, prepare transmittal forms, coordinate packaging, review, and processing
• Expedite submittals to align with project schedule; communicate submittal process details to subcontractors and suppliers
• Incorporate processes and procedures for project closeout phase; define and implement procedures for posting revisions and updates to as-built construction documents
• Mentor, manage, and evaluate field engineers; determine alternative work methods as needed
• Cookordination safety and compliance for all team members; maintain schedule of timelines and ensure completion

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction, Civil, or Architectural Engineering or Construction Management
• Minimum of three years related construction experience
• Detail orientation sufficient to organize and effectively manage multiple tasks
• Possess basic understanding of construction law and generally accepted business practices
• Strong teamwork orientation, initiative, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Proven positive and professional attitude and customer service skills
• Current driver’s license

Pay

The base pay range for this role is $93,400 MIN - $126,100 MAX. (Actual range is higher for the following office locations: Denver, CO and Chicago, IL – 5%, Seattle, WA, and Portland, OR – 10%, Washington, D.C. – 12.5%). Base pay is positioned within the range based on several factors including an individual’s knowledge, skills, and experience, with consideration given to internal equity.
