Project Engineer II

About the role

As a Project Engineer, you will report to the Manager of Project Engineering Poultry. You will develop detailed engineering layouts and documentation based on proposal requirements and customer needs, ensuring engineering deliverables are accurate, consistent, and ready for downstream teams.

Responsibilities

• Develop detailed engineering layouts and documentation based on proposal requirements and customer needs.
• Prepare complete engineering packages including updated layouts, specifications, and project documentation.
• Review BOMs and technical details to ensure system accuracy, completeness, and alignment with the project scope.
• Translate proposal concepts into finalized engineering requirements and identify system gaps that need clarification.
• Evaluate information from third-party providers and determine whether it aligns with project requirements.
• Collaborate with Sales, Innovation, and Project Management to confirm feasibility and resolve issues.
• Review production drawings and configuration details prior to release and identify required corrections.
• Provide input into hour estimates and support planning for engineering tasks based on project complexity.
• Prepare updates and summaries that communicate engineering status and key decisions.

Requirements

• Degree preferred.
• AutoCAD or similar experience.
• 1+ years of similar technical experience.
• Project experience preferred.
• Agile PLM experience preferred.
• Must be authorized to work in the US without sponsorship now or in the future.

Schedule

This position is hybrid, reporting into our Gainesville facility, with up to 10% travel including international.
