Essential Functions
- Performs engineering design evaluations and works to complete projects within budget and scheduling restraints.
- Reviews industry policies and procedures to ensure data accuracy, security, and regulatory compliance.
- Reviews reports of production, malfunction, and maintenance to determine or address problems.
- Provides technical support for the engineering process.
- Designs, implements, and communicates an operational plan for completing the project.
- Makes sure progress and performance align with the project plan.
- Takes actions to resolve operational problems and minimize delays.
- Identifies, develops, and gathers resources necessary to complete the project.
- Prepares engineering designs and work specifications.
- Develops project schedules, budgets, and forecasts.
- Selects materials, equipment, project staff, and external contractors.
Required Qualifications
- Associate's Degree and 2-4 years' experience in Engineering.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering.
- Knowledge, skills & abilities: Oral and written communication skills, Analytical thinking, Design review, Project engineering, Resource planning, Technical project management, Computer-Aided Engineering (CAE) software, Project management software.
- Experience in overcoming obsolescence challenges on baseline frozen programs, developing and implementing continuous improvement initiatives on established production lines, advising program technical risks to program management, leading mitigation efforts, representing engineering on program material review board (MRB), and working with program quality engineer to disposition non-conforming hardware.
- Familiarity with root cause analysis tools, aerospace specs and standards (i.e. MIL-STD, MIL-SPEC, IPC, ASTM, AMS), Computer-Aided Design (CAD) and project management software.
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position at a desk and/or computer for extended periods of time.
- Work primarily in a climate-controlled environment with minimal safety/health hazard potential.
Pay Range
$93,500.00 - $126,500.00
Additional Compensation
Hired applicant may be eligible to participate in the Company’s Gain Sharing Program.
