Responsibilities
- Read and understand construction blueprint/drawings.
- Absorb and assist with generating project estimates and quotes, cashflow, and corresponding schedules to stay on budget.
- Construction Management as experience dictates (Typically up to $750k).
- Budgeting, financial tracking, and invoicing.
- Assisting design consultants on facility renovation and new construction, coordinate meetings, and meeting minutes as needed.
- Managing construction contractors and vendors.
- Aiding in bidding of capital construction projects.
- Create floorplans or drawings for contractors to price or internal crew scope of work.
- Assist with equipment and furniture coordination on projects.
- Aid in maintenance activities and inspections as needed to provide drawings, archives, data.
- Attend and participate in construction progress meetings with contractors on assigned projects.
- Create cash flow and schedule documents to track and monitor.
- Aid in documenting project close out documentation.
- Scan, file, and organize record drawings.
- Inform department of status of work or update on completion of work.
- Work well with others as a team player.
Requirements
- Possesses well rounded knowledge of construction, preferred in healthcare in environment.
- B.S. in mechanical, electrical, civil, or construction engineering preferred or equivalent experience.
- Certified Healthcare Constructor (CHC) through ASHE preferred or able to attain within 18 months of employment.
- 3-5 years of experience in consulting engineering or construction management in a healthcare environment preferred.
- Knowledge of architectural, structural, HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems.
- Knowledge of regulatory codes in healthcare setting: TJC, FGI, NFPA, NEC, etc.
- Skills in Microsoft Office, Adobe Pro, Bluebeam, AutoCAD, and construction scheduling software.
- Ability to provide a high level of customer service.
- Proficient oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize.
- Ability to think strategically and efficiently.
- High level of maturity to manage confidential information in a healthcare setting.
