Responsibilities

  • Read and understand construction blueprint/drawings.
  • Absorb and assist with generating project estimates and quotes, cashflow, and corresponding schedules to stay on budget.
  • Construction Management as experience dictates (Typically up to $750k).
  • Budgeting, financial tracking, and invoicing.
  • Assisting design consultants on facility renovation and new construction, coordinate meetings, and meeting minutes as needed.
  • Managing construction contractors and vendors.
  • Aiding in bidding of capital construction projects.
  • Create floorplans or drawings for contractors to price or internal crew scope of work.
  • Assist with equipment and furniture coordination on projects.
  • Aid in maintenance activities and inspections as needed to provide drawings, archives, data.
  • Attend and participate in construction progress meetings with contractors on assigned projects.
  • Create cash flow and schedule documents to track and monitor.
  • Aid in documenting project close out documentation.
  • Scan, file, and organize record drawings.
  • Inform department of status of work or update on completion of work.
  • Work well with others as a team player.

Requirements

  • Possesses well rounded knowledge of construction, preferred in healthcare in environment.
  • B.S. in mechanical, electrical, civil, or construction engineering preferred or equivalent experience.
  • Certified Healthcare Constructor (CHC) through ASHE preferred or able to attain within 18 months of employment.
  • 3-5 years of experience in consulting engineering or construction management in a healthcare environment preferred.
  • Knowledge of architectural, structural, HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems.
  • Knowledge of regulatory codes in healthcare setting: TJC, FGI, NFPA, NEC, etc.
  • Skills in Microsoft Office, Adobe Pro, Bluebeam, AutoCAD, and construction scheduling software.
  • Ability to provide a high level of customer service.
  • Proficient oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize.
  • Ability to think strategically and efficiently.
  • High level of maturity to manage confidential information in a healthcare setting.
