Project Engineer: IEW Construction Group is a Civil/Heavy Highway contractor seeking a Project Engineer

About the role

The Project Engineer supports the Project Manager and provides engineering support for varied, complex projects in heavy civil highway, bridge, and general construction.

Responsibilities

• Support Project Manager in all efforts during construction through completion of project.
• Quality control ensuring compliance with plans & specifications.
• Maintain schedule and budgets & review project costs.
• Review and execute material purchase orders.
• Cooky delivery of materials, scheduling of equipment/operators and subcontractors.
• Setup field office, yard, storage etc. for IEW & Owners as required.
• Generate work schedules in required formats.
• Cooky required work force.
• Visit job site as necessary.
• Schedule and attend applicable project meetings.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Education: College degree: B.S. Civil Engineering or Construction Management.
• Skills: Outstanding capabilities in:
• Ability to work in a fast-paced work environment.
• 3 years working knowledge of civil construction a plus.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Detail oriented.
• Knowledge of heavy construction and bridge preferred.
