Position Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and technically proficient Project Engineer to support the execution and delivery of modular data centers, power modules, and custom critical infrastructure. This role serves as a technical bridge between design engineering, supply chain, and manufacturing, focusing on administrative tasks essential for project success.

Role Responsibilities

• Support contract administration by maintaining documentation and preparing PM-directed correspondence with owners, contractors, subcontractors, and material suppliers.
• Aid in customer and contractor communication, including coordination of meeting minutes, distribution of action items, and tracking follow-ups.
• Coordinate internally with RK Mission Critical’s engineering, supply chain, and production teams to ensure alignment on design requirements, material readiness, and technical information.
• Support project controls, including maintaining project budgets, billing support documents, schedule updates, and other project trackers from kickoff through shipment.
• Manage project licensing and permitting requirements, ensuring accurate and complete documentation and proper routing.
• Track and report material deliveries to production, including OFCI materials, and communicate impacts to schedule or workflow.
• Create and maintain project change order packages, including cost backup, scope clarifications, and log updates, as directed by the PM.
• Prepare and maintain logs such as RFIs, submittal registers, risk registers, and other documentation needed to support the project team.

Qualifications

• US Citizenship Required
• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field
• Experience in the development and construction of modular data centers, power modules, and electrical infrastructure preferred
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, Project)
• Experience with Bluebeam Revu preferred
• Familiarity with reading and interpreting engineering drawings and models
• Strong understanding of Bills of Materials and typical mechanical, electrical, and architectural build materials as they pertain to modular systems
• Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing principles and Design for Manufacturing (DFM)
• Familiarity with the engineering submittal process and documentation
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment

Physical Requirements and Accountability

• Regularly stand, sit, talk, hear, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer, telephone, and a variety of office equipment.
• Sometimes reach, stoop, or kneel.
• Specific vision abilities required include close vision due to computer work.
• Comply with all company policies and procedures.
• Prompt, punctual, and regular attendance during core business hours, in an office environment (not a telecommuting position).
• Occasionally travel between corporate offices and jobsites within the Denver Metro Area, during work hours.
