Project Engineer I

Duties And Responsibilities

• Aid in developing, preparing, and finalizing the project schedule.
• Procure and submit all project submittal information and manage the approval process.
• Assist with the administration of subcontract requirements, contract documents, and change orders.
• Cookordination of communications and correspondences from owners, general contractors, and subcontractors.
• Ensure project quality control procedures are followed during construction.
• Coordinate job closeout activities and keep the Project Manager informed.
• Resolve conflicts with clients and customers.
• Record all applicable information in Project Control/Document Control System with target dates for completion.
• Review job costs with the Project Manager.
• Manage shop drawings throughout the project lifecycle, including coordination with the general contractor and field installation.
• Follow up with internal and external customers on shop drawing changes and schedule changes or delays.
• Release materials in a timely manner and coordinate deliveries.
• Visit jobsites as needed; understand the jobsite environment and review jobsite progress.
• Maintain a Shortage and Breakage Log and reorder material as necessary.
• Prepare operation and maintenance manuals, guarantees, and submit in accordance with specification requirements.
• Aid in preparing monthly billings, cost projections, and weekly logs.

Education/Experience

• PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: 0 – 3 years of experience.
• KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Basic knowledge of ISEC products, services, processes and projects; understanding of project plans and specifications; ability to work autonomously and seek guidance for complex issues; proficiency in MS Office Suite; strong written and verbal communication skills; excellent prioritization and organizational skills; strong customer service skills; commitment to accountability and positive attitude.
