Project Engineer I
Responsibilities
- Planning for assigned divisions/systems.
- Coordination of monthly capital meetings with operational personnel, tracking capital and reporting to senior management on capital of assigned projects.
- Driver/coordinator of the 5-year capital plan for assigned divisions/systems.
- Utilization of PowerPlant and SAP for assigned projects.
- Submission of required permits and approvals.
- Obtaining necessary easements for assigned projects.
- Responsible for project through entire lifecycle; selection, planning including obtaining any, permitting, construction, close out activities.
- Approval of pay applications and processing of invoices.
- Completion of all necessary paperwork needed for accounting to close the project.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering is required.
- Selected candidate must have Engineer In Training (E.I.T.) certification or be able to achieve within 12 months of hire.
- Professional Engineer license in the State of Ohio is preferred.
- Two or more years of experience in water and wastewater is preferred.
- Excellent verbal, written, and organizational skills are required.
- The ability to effectively coordinate multiple projects.
- Knowledge of Ten States Standards, AWWA Standards, WEC Standards.
- Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D is preferred.
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel and Word.
- Ability to read and interpret civil engineering drawings.
- Communication skills through plan sets.

This role is under the direction of the Engineering Manager and is responsible for engineering support to all Divisions and Departments of the Ohio region. The Project Engineer will be responsible for designing and managing assigned projects within Ohio, including the repair or replacement of tanks, booster stations, lift stations, WTP projects, WWTP projects, regulating vaults, etc.
