Project Engineer (HYDRO)
About the role
BigLift Shipping B.V., a world leader in heavy cargo transport, is seeking a Project Engineer to play a crucial role in preparing and executing marine transport and heavy lift operations worldwide. This position requires expertise in hydrodynamics, offshore installation, and Dynamic Positioning (DP), along with experience in the maritime or offshore industry.
Responsibilities
- Work with a team of operational experts and fellow engineers to complete project preparations and execution on site.
- Have the freedom to design and implement project-specific lifting gear and support systems.
- Subcontract steel works, ensure timely delivery, and apply the designed support systems on-site.
- Act as the primary point of contact for inquiries related to vessel motions, motion monitoring, mooring analysis, and hydro topics, particularly for one-of-a-kind offshore supply and installation projects.
Requirements
- A hydrodynamics specialist with a Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in marine or mechanical engineering and at least 3 years of relevant work experience in the maritime or offshore industry.
