Project Engineer (HYDRO)
About the role
BigLift Shipping B.V., a world leader in heavy cargo transport, is seeking a Project Engineer to play a crucial role in preparing and executing marine transport and heavy lift operations worldwide. This position requires expertise in hydrodynamics, offshore installation, and Dynamic Positioning (DP), along with international travel and the ability to take responsibility for project safety.
Responsibilities
- Complete project preparations and execution with a team of operational experts and fellow engineers.
- Design and subcontract lifting gear as needed for project-specific requirements.
- Develop and implement support systems tailored to cargo needs.
- Provide expert advice on vessel motions, motion monitoring, mooring analysis, and hydro topics related to offshore supply and installation projects.
Requirements
- A hydrodynamics specialist with at least 3 years of relevant work experience in the maritime or offshore industry.
- A Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in marine or mechanical engineering.
Qualifications
A hydrodynamics specialist who uses both their brain and hands, thinks creatively, and is comfortable diving into engineering theories.
Skills
Expertise in hydrodynamics, offshore installation, and Dynamic Positioning (DP).
