Job Responsibilities
- Own the QGG hardware delivery plan/schedule from design release through procurement, receiving, inspection, kitting, and AI&T handoff.
- Maintain BOM/MEL/PEL maturity, long-lead status, part-number discipline, procurement readiness, and product-tree traceability.
- Manage Engineering Assurance / engineering article status associated with partner proposal commitments, including action tracking and evidence collection.
- Serve as the primary program interface to supply chain for QGG hardware execution, supplier expediting, material shortages, recovery plans, and delivery risk burn-down.
- Work with subsystem IPT teams, AI&T, systems engineering, quality, and procurement to resolve part availability, substitution, configuration, and drawing-release issues.
- Track open commitments, supplier delivery dates, purchase-order status, inspection status, and material constraints against IMS and EAC/ETC needs.
- Drive design-to-procurement and procurement-to-build readiness reviews for high-risk and long-lead items, and come up with strategies to mitigate delays for high-risk parts.
- Create concise executive-level status for hardware delivery, material blockers, and supplier recovery actions.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, supply chain, operations, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 5+ years of experience in project engineering, hardware program execution, supply chain engineering, production engineering, or aerospace hardware delivery.
- Experience managing complex BOMs, released part data, drawing packages, procurement readiness, and configuration-sensitive hardware.
- Demonstrated ability to work across engineering, quality, procurement, suppliers, and program management to recover schedule and resolve blockers.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to brief risk, schedule, and supplier status clearly.
- Comfortable working in a fast-moving development environment where designs, schedules, and supplier constraints evolve quickly.
Preferred Experience
- Experience with NASA, JPL, DoD, space payload, avionics, or flight-relevant hardware programs.
- Experience with PLM/MRP tools such as Arena, Oracle, Agile, Teamcenter, NetSuite, or similar systems.
- Familiarity with AS9100, MRB/nonconformance processes, or NASA/Goddard/JPL parts review practices.
- Experience supporting EVM, CAM reviews, IMS status, EAC/ETC forecasting, or hardware readiness reviews.
- Experience with optical, vacuum, electronics, embedded systems, or precision electromechanical hardware.
