About the role
BETA Technologies is revolutionizing electric aviation through innovation and sustainability. As a Project Engineer - Flight Instruments, you'll contribute to the development and certification of aircraft systems.
Responsibilities
- Track internal technical schedules and deliverables across the Avionics & Flight Instruments team
- Task and organize team efforts to support system design, test, and certification timelines
- Cook up and manage Statements of Work (SOWs) and development agreements, ensuring alignment on scope and expectations
- Support flight test readiness and integration efforts as part of a fast-moving certification program
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace, Electrical, Systems, or a related engineering discipline
- Familiarity with ARP 4754A, DO-178C, and DO-254
- Prior experience in aircraft system integration, preferably with avionics
- Strong organizational and communication skills, with demonstrated project coordination experience
- Experience using Polarion, JIRA, and Confluence (or equivalent tools)
- Previous work at an aircraft OEM or avionics supplier
- Hands-on experience managing certification artifacts and processes
- Familiarity with Part 23/25 or Part 27/29 aircraft certification programs
- Experience working with FAA, DERs, or equivalent regulatory authorities

- Occasional travel may be required to support supplier visits or flight test activities
