What You'll Do
- Manages RFIs and submittals, ensuring information flows smoothly between designers, the owner, and subcontractors.
- Serves as a liaison between the Superintendent and field staff, supporting tasks such as material tracking, subcontractor scheduling, and daily sequencing.
- Assists in tracking quantities, preparing pay estimates, and managing project costs.
- Reviews plans and specifications to identify potential conflicts and constructability issues early.
- Maintains detailed documentation and prepares daily reports that comply with FDOT standards.
- Supports scheduling, look-ahead planning, and change order documentation.
Required Qualifications
- At least 2 years of project or field engineering experience in heavy civil or heavy highway construction.
- A background in heavy civil or FDOT roadway construction, or equivalent experience in a comparable DOT environment.
- A working knowledge of RFIs, submittals, and field coordination.
- A degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field, or substantial equivalent field experience.
- The ability to interpret and apply civil construction plans and specifications.
Preferred Qualifications
- Direct experience on FDOT projects.
- Familiarity with Primavera P6, Bluebeam, or Microsoft Project.
- EIT certification or progress toward a Professional Engineer (PE) license.
Compensation And Benefits
- $95,000 to $120,000 base salary, plus bonus.
