- Assist Project Engineers with various project development needs.
- Collaborate with key functional support groups — including Fabrication & Welding, Process Control, Electrical, and Maintenance teams — to understand how all functional support groups interact with Engineering.
- Gain practical exposure to core aggregate processes, plant reliability, and Quality Control (QC) testing methods.
- Experiment with 2D and 3D CAD tools (e.g., AutoCAD, Civil 3D) to update operational drawings or develop a minor equipment/layout design.
- Receive introduction and hands-on exposure to process modeling software (such as AggFlow) to analyze plant flow and crushing/screening efficiency.
- Shadow Project Engineers during plant audits to evaluate the efficiency of crushing, screening, washing, and conveying systems.
- Assist in reliability evaluations, critical spare asset needs, and continuous-improvement initiatives for Operations facilities.
- Prepare project status reports, technical documentation, and meeting minutes for cross-functional operations teams.
- Take ownership of a defined small-scale project with guidance from Project Engineers, managing it from initial scope through completion.
- Learn basic project management principles, including tracking task schedules, estimating material quantities, and communicating project updates to operational leaders.
- Perform other engineering duties as assigned to support quarry production and engineering goals.
