Project Engineer, DCCD, DCCD
Key job responsibilities
Establishing communication and coordination across a data center region’s general contractors, stakeholders, and internal teams. Example includes sending out region wide changes to construction trailer setup, testing procedures, or location to access documents. Develop and maintain a tracking system for design changes, RFI’s (requests for information), and change orders and dashboard and track this information for regional leadership review. Include tracking status of priority and due dates. Onboarding new vendors for badging and orientation. Updating project management software with milestone dates, correspondence, and documents. Monitoring delivery of owner furnished material to site. Compiling and storing construction data from vendors. Managing checklist including various checklists including substantial completion checks, safety, and quality.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field
- Experience in vendor management
- Experience in a data center or other critical environment
- Experience with Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word, and Excel
- 3+ years of data center or mission critical facilities (example: hospital, military facility, public safety facility, etc.) experience
- Experience in construction or project management
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of electrical systems in critical Data Center operations that include but are not limited to utility substation feeds, transformers, switchgear, VFI Class UPS, DRUPS, PDUs, ATS, STS, SLA/VRLA batteries and associated systems, diesel/gas turbine generators and related fuel systems, Surge Suppression, Active Harmonic Filtering, battery monitoring systems, branch circuit monitoring systems or SCADA systems
- 4+ years of construction or project management experience
