Project Engineer, DCCD, AWS DCCD AMER Mid-Atlantic
About the role
AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure — the people who keep the cloud running. The team supports all AWS data centers and the servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment that ensure customers have continual access to innovation. You’ll join a diverse team of software, hardware, and network engineers, supply chain specialists, security experts, operations managers, and other vital roles, collaborating across AWS to deliver the highest standards for safety and security while providing seemingly infinite capacity at the lowest possible cost.
As a Data Center Project Engineer, you’ll be part of a creative, diverse team solving fascinating problems constructing Amazon Data Centers — industry examples of energy‑efficient, cost‑effective designs. You’ll work alongside partner teams such as Operations, Networking, Controls, Security, and Commissioning to build data centers that directly support customers. You’ll be on the construction site daily, interacting with construction managers and stakeholders, and directly responsible for supporting fast, high‑quality delivery of data center construction. The role owns communication coordination with vendors, information workflow, and document management including requests for information (RFIs), change orders, reports, and schedule updates. From design review through construction bidding, execution, and final hand‑off, you’ll own the end‑to‑end process.
