About the role
IPS, a Berkshire Hathaway company, is a global leader in technical consulting, architecture, engineering, procurement, construction management, commissioning, qualification, and validation services for technically complex facilities. The Construction Project Engineer (Cost) position is available out of our Blue Bell, Pennsylvania headquarters, with a focus on the Marietta, PA project.
Responsibilities
- Provide cost related support as part of the construction project team.
- Track project costs, invoice preparation, and reporting.
- Cookordination development and maintenance of execution plans, scopes, schedules, and budgets.
- Manage documentation, submittals, RFIs, and communication among project stakeholders.
- Support procurement, contract administration, and change management processes.
- Participate in safety planning and quality assurance, including shop drawing reviews and design compliance.
- Maintain project documentation systems and assist with closeout deliverables and turnover packages.
- Contribute to marketing materials, proposals, and ongoing team coordination across departments.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in construction management, finance or a related discipline.
- Professional internship experience.
- Interest in developing within construction management, with a focus on financial and cost support activities.
- Preferred qualifications: 1+ years of experience providing cost-related support on a construction project team.
Physical Demands
- Must be able to stand, sit, and walk for prolonged periods.
- Must possess the ability to stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl as required.
- Must be able to lift and move objects weighing up to 25 pounds.
- Must be able to climb ladders as necessary.

- The employee is designated for field work and attends activities at client sites where they work in construction, Process, packaging, manufacturing, research, or other "non-administrative" areas.
