Responsibilities
- Aid in managing the project budget and developing scenarios to meet that budget
- Coordinate up to $5 million per year of subcontracts and purchase orders
- Create and track submittals, transmittals, requests for information, and shop drawing logs
- Ensure materials are delivered on time and comply with project drawings and specifications
- Maintain quality control and safety programs to ensure adherence to approved plans
- Create and maintain project schedules
- Generate work plans and document job site activities, including progress pictures
- Assist with estimating and reviewing subcontractor quotes for accuracy
- Take notes on conversations, file correspondence, and assist in report preparation
- Coordinate closeout procedures including O&M manuals, as-builts, warranties, keys, and extra materials
- Record and distribute meeting minutes
Requirements
- Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field
- Have previous relevant experience in construction management
- Be willing and able to relocate to Ross Group offices or project sites, typically located throughout the South and Midwest
- Show dependability in meeting attendance guidelines, following instructions, and responding promptly
- Prove a history of reliability in managing priorities and achieving project goals
- Display flexibility, organization, and attention to detail, using efficient time management to meet deadlines and schedules
- Make timely decisions with sound judgment, keeping appropriate people informed in the process
- Have a working knowledge of computers, Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project, and Primavera
- Continuously improve job knowledge, using resources effectively, and demonstrating the ability to learn and apply new skills
Qualifications
- Physically capable of working outdoors in various weather conditions, standing, climbing, bending, and stooping occasionally
- Capable of using visual and auditory skills
