Responsibilities
- Aid in the development and review of project plans, including project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation.
- Collaborate with project managers, architects, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure project design and construction documents are accurate and meet project requirements.
- Provide technical support and guidance to project teams, subcontractors, and on-site personnel, addressing any technical queries or challenges that may arise.
- Maintain oversight of project progress, including tracking construction activities, milestones, and critical path items.
- Review and interpret project plans, specifications, and drawings to ensure accurate implementation on-site.
- Assist in the management and coordination of subcontractors and suppliers, including procurement of materials and equipment.
- Aid in the preparation and review of change orders, ensuring accuracy and adherence to project budgets.
- Assist in the documentation and management of project-related data, including drawings, logs, reports, and project correspondence.
- Collaborate with project managers to track project costs, monitor budgets, and assist in the preparation of cost estimates.
- Safeguard compliance with safety regulations and foster a culture of safety on-site, conducting regular safety inspections and addressing any safety-related concerns.
Requirements
- Hold a bachelor's degree in civil engineering, construction management, or a related field.
- Have at least 2 years of experience as a Project Engineer or a similar role in the construction industry.
- Show strong knowledge of construction methods, techniques, and building codes.
- Show proficiency in reading and interpreting project plans, specifications, and drawings.
- Show experience with construction management software and tools.
- Show excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to find practical solutions to complex construction challenges.
- Show strong attention to detail and ability to work with precision.
- Show effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- Show the ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and handle multiple priorities.
- Professional certifications (e.g., PE, LEED, OSHA) are a plus.
