Project Engineer - Commercial Construction

Overview: What You’ll Be Doing

• Proficient with Procore and familiarity with MS Projects
• Provide support during pre-construction and project closeout processes
• Affiliate with monitoring project budgets and forecasting updates
• Review project plans and specifications to provide input on scheduling, design, and potential cost-saving measures
• Affiliate with preparing budgets and bids
• Prepare, track, and maintain submittals, RFIs, and change order logs
• Affiliate with coordinating timely submissions/reviews of shop drawings and required approvals
• Affiliate with creating project schedules in Microsoft Project and help track progress
• Affiliate with attending and preparing meeting minutes for OAC meetings
• Affiliate with tracking and helping resolve errors, discrepancies, or omissions in construction documents
• Affiliate with monitoring site safety documentation in conjunction with the Superintendent and ensuring compliance with safety standards
• Affiliate with tracking inspections, testing, and municipal approvals
• Affiliate with maintaining accurate project records, as-builts, and closeout documentation
• Provide general project administrative support to Project Managers and Superintendents
• Other duties as assigned or needed to fulfill job requirements

Qualifications & Requirements

• Minimum 2–4 years’ experience as a Project Engineer (or related role) on commercial and/or industrial projects
• College or university degree in a construction-related field preferred
• Understanding of construction terms, scheduling, and planning
• Proficient in Procore, Bluebeam, Microsoft Projects, Excel, etc.
• Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
