About the role
We are seeking a Project Engineer to join our Salinas, CA office.
Responsibilities
- Designing and coordinating site development projects for residential, commercial, mixed-use, and public works developments
- Preparing grading, drainage, and utility system plans in compliance with standards
- Developing technical reports, master plans, and entitlement documents
- Creating construction specifications, quantity takeoffs, and cost estimates
- Planning site layouts, parking, access, and circulation
- Incorporating sustainable design elements like low-impact development
- Ensuring adherence to codes and permitting requirements
- Conducting conceptual studies and feasibility analyses
- Collaborating with internal teams and external stakeholders throughout project phases
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in Land Development, including residential, commercial subdivisions, utility systems, and public works
- B.S. in Civil Engineering or related field from an ABET-accredited program
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D
- EIT certification preferred
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to perform geometric calculations and design tasks independently
Work Environment
- Physical demands include talking, hearing, operating a computer, and occasionally lifting up to 20 pounds
- Work conditions involve a low to moderate noise office environment, possibly high-stress situations, and travel to project sites
