Project Engineer - Bridge

Responsibilities

• Aids the Project Managers with safety, software and applications (including HCSS, financials, scheduling), take-offs, bidding, building (grading, paving, milling, subcontractors), scheduling, equipment use, contracts and negotiation, billing and collection, specifications, and mix designs.
• Ensures that daily, weekly, and monthly tasks are addressed promptly in collaboration with other Project Engineers and Project Managers.
• Spend time with Operations, Project Managers, Scheduling, and gain some exposure to Manufacturing and Technical Services.
• Attend project meetings such as pre-construction, pre-pave, and scheduling.
• Perform other related duties as required and assigned.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree, vocational training, certification from an accredited organization, or a combination of schooling and relevant work experience.
• Excellent verbal and written communication, consulting, conflict management, and interpersonal and negotiation skills.
• Valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record.
• Prior transportation industry and logistics experience is preferred, along with relevant industry experiences.
• Excellent client management and business literacy skills.
• Develop strong trusting relationships to gain support and achieve results.
• Takes initiative to identify and anticipate organizational needs and make recommendations for implementation.

Additional Notes

This position requires travel.
