Responsibilities
- Provides technical, administrative, and operational support to the project team.
- Aids in project coordination, document control, procurement tracking, scheduling support, subcontractor coordination, and field operations.
- Supports day-to-day project execution by working closely with Project Managers, Superintendents, subcontractors, vendors, and field personnel.
- Works towards ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, within budget, and in accordance with company standards and contract requirements.
- Assists in planning for commercial projects.
- Maintains project logs (e.g., Submittal Log, RFI log).
- Maintains and updates schedules.
- Identifies needs for and writes Request for Information (RFI).
- Prepares, reviews, and processes shop drawings.
- Maintains as-built drawings.
- Collects and assembles operation and maintenance (O&M) materials.
- Purchases and expedites material orders and scopes of work.
- Prepares value engineering designs and proposals.
- Coordinates with subcontractors and vendors.
- Distributes contract documents to the job site, vendors, and subcontractors.
- Makes site visits to monitor project progress and ensure compliance with plans and standards.
- Coordinates facility startup activities.
- Provides support and accurate information to the Project Manager to enhance project management effectiveness.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- One to two years of experience as a Project Engineer preferred.
