Project Engineer
About the role
As a Project Engineer2 you will support on-going and future AP1000/AP300 projects.
You will report to the Senior Project Engineering Manager, AP300 Product Development and be located at our global headquarters in Cranberry Township, PA. The position is hybrid, you will be on site 2 days per week. Locations: US engineering locations (Cranberry Twp, PA or Rock Hill, SC) – mobile.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive completion of scope within assigned functional areas to support plant development.
- Lead front end engineering design, feasibility and early works projects.
- Manage schedules, costs, and resource loading in collaboration with Resource Managers.
- Identify and mitigate risks and exploit opportunities through promoting solution-oriented thinking.
- Troubleshoot technical challenges and develop recovery plans.
- Be a lead point of contact for Functional Area Leads and Project Coordinators.
- Represent your discipline in project review meetings.
- Support the Project Engineering Manager and Design Technical Lead as needed.
- Apply engineering principles to integrate multidisciplinary input
- Facilitate cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder engagement.
- Monitor KPIs for schedule, cost, and quality performance.
- Mentor junior engineers.
- Leverage digital tools for configuration control and collaborative workflows.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering required (Open to all Engineering Disciplines, Mechanical, Electrical, Nuclear, Chemical)
- Minimum 3 years of applicable experience required
- Previous experience on AP1000 or AP300 is beneficial
- Ability to travel internationally as projects require (up to +/- 10% for peak times)
- Ability to establish effective networks across various functional areas
Cognizance in at least one of the following technical areas:
- Design & Analysis: NSSS components, piping, electrical, civil/structural
- Systems Engineering: Nuclear systems, turbine island, plant layout
- Regulatory & Licensing: Licensing, Domestic/International Regulatory interaction
- Integration & Coordination: Plant layout integration, configuration control, digital design
Pay
Annually Paid: We are committed to transparency and equity in all of our people practices. The base salary range for this position, which is dependent upon experience, qualifications and skills, is estimated to be $69,200 to $86,500 per year.
