Purpose

Davis & Associates, Inc. is seeking a dedicated Project Engineer to support all aspects of the project management team, and field operations where necessary. Support the project management process by performing and engaging in engineering tasks such as processing shop drawings, managing the workflow of document controls, change management, outsourcing, scheduling and other related activities. Coordinate and prepare of project procedures and all related requirements to ensure the smooth flow of the project.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Review design and bidding documents, evaluate contractor bids, oversee construction progress and schedule.
  • Provides technical support to the construction staff under the supervision of the Project Manager.
  • Establish a system to manage review, and monitor, the distribution of shop drawings and submittals required for the project.
  • Review and distribute submittals.
  • Keep abreast of the project progress to the management team.
  • Compare and evaluate the sequencing of work for the coordination of subcontractors and suppliers' construction schedule.
  • Manage requisition procedure for review and submission of pay applications.
  • Oversee Change Orders, Estimates, and Proposals for the responsible parties' review and approval.
  • Work with the Project Manager, Superintendent, and field operations assigned on the project.
  • Performs other related assignments related to the project when required.

Skills Required

  • Excellent verbal and written communication and analytical skills.
  • Project management of development initiatives.
  • Possess strong planning, budgeting, critical thinking skills.
  • Windows Office; Microsoft Software knowledgeable.
  • Prolog or similar software
  • Plans and Specifications Knowledge
  • Understanding of scheduling, estimating and cost software

Minimum Requirements

  • Five (5) years in Construction Project Engineering or related field.
  • Ability and knowledge to conduct the essential duties.
  • Knowledge of Construction Engineering and Management.

Pay

$68,911.00 - $73,082.00 per year
