Responsibilities
- Cook up deliverables for construction closeout and turnover package development, including reviewing and closing out all subcontractor submittals, construction and verification test data, and subcontractor as-built documentation.
- Prepare engineering closeout documentation as part of client engineering verification of the construction turnover documentation.
- Provide Project Engineering expertise for developing and managing project requirements, and verifying/monitoring the implementation of requirements throughout the project lifecycle.
- Supervise the engineering activities (across all disciplines) on a project, or designated portions of a project, for a global business unit.
- Plan and direct engineering assignments on the project.
- Demonstrate technical responsibilities for interpreting, organizing, executing, and coordinating these assignments.
Requirements
- Minimum of 4 years of related experience.
- Demonstrated understanding of capital construction projects (understand the roles of contractor, designer, and owner).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent leadership and organizational skills.
- Capability to organize project documentation using various means (e.g., spreadsheets, databases).
- Capability with MS Office Suite and willingness to learn new software packages.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to interface with clients, contractors, and consultants on a daily basis.
- Self-starter with ability to work with limited oversight.
- Candidates must be able to work onsite at LANL.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Q clearance.
- Candidates must have an active Real ID diver's license for badging and onboarding.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 4 years of related experience.
- Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in engineering, architecture, or a relevant engineering discipline, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience in one or more of the following areas is preferred but not required: previous experience working at LANL and/or nuclear facilities, an active or recently inactive DOE Q or DOD Top Secret clearance.
- Education candidates should meet one of the following: Bachelor's degree plus 4 years of experience, Associate's degree with 10 years of experience, or high school diploma plus 12 years of experience.
