Join Silgan Containers as a Project Engineer to support capital engineering projects across multiple manufacturing facilities. Responsibilities
- Aid in managing capital projects from planning through execution
- Develop project plans, timelines, and budgets
- Coordinate with vendors, contractors, and plant teams
- Track project costs, process purchase orders, and monitor budgets
- Support equipment installations and system upgrades across facilities
- Participate in project meetings and provide status updates
- Learn to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and layouts
- Ensure projects meet safety, quality, and timeline expectations
- Gain hands-on exposure to manufacturing processes and equipment
- Contribute to continuous improvement and efficiency initiatives
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Project Management, or a related field
- Internship, co-op, or academic project experience in engineering, construction, or manufacturing
- Basic understanding of project management concepts such as timelines, budgets, and planning
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Willingness to travel 50–70% to manufacturing sites
- Interest in hands-on work, manufacturing environments, and continuous learning
