Join Silgan Containers as a Project Engineer to support capital engineering projects across multiple manufacturing facilities. Ideal for recent graduates in engineering, construction project management, or project management, this role offers hands-on experience in manufacturing operations, capital projects, and equipment installations.

Responsibilities

• Aid in managing capital projects from planning through execution
• Develop project plans, timelines, and budgets
• Coordinate with vendors, contractors, and plant teams
• Track project costs, process purchase orders, and monitor budgets
• Support equipment installations and system upgrades across facilities
• Participate in project meetings and provide status updates
• Learn to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and layouts
• Ensure projects meet safety, quality, and timeline expectations
• Gain hands-on exposure to manufacturing processes and equipment
• Contribute to continuous improvement and efficiency initiatives

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Project Management, or a related field
• Internship, co-op, or academic project experience in engineering, construction, or manufacturing
• Basic understanding of project management concepts such as timelines, budgets, and planning
• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Willingness to travel 50–70% to manufacturing sites
• Interest in hands-on work, manufacturing environments, and continuous learning
