Project Engineer

Job Purpose

The Project Engineer role at Sanmina Corporation will oversee product lines for specific customers, including PCBAs, test oversight, box-build coordination, NPI, scheduling, and documentation. Additionally, this role will serve as a technical PoC for customers, reviewing their data and requirements to create process flows, coordinate equipment, and address customer needs.

Nature Of Duties/Responsibilities

• Support daily manufacturing floor operations and drive continuous improvement in product manufacturing processes.
• Optimize and balance cycle times of manufacturing equipment.
• Create and assign tasks related to product(s) and customer(s).
• Design and implement methods and procedures to manufacture and/or assemble products in compliance with customer and industry specifications.
• Resolve issues using engineering education and training, demonstrating good judgment in selecting methods and techniques.
• Act independently to determine methods and procedures on new or special assignments.
• Analyze process defects of returned products and identify corrective actions.
• Create and manage assembly time standards, support labor and material quoting, compile and evaluate data for process and quality documentation.
• Understand and support the MRP and SFDC systems used for manufacturing operations.
• Supervise the activities of others, directly and/or indirectly.
• Perform other technical and project management tasks as directed.

Required Education and Experience

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Engineering or related technical field.
• Minimum 5 years experience in an engineering or technical capacity.
• High computer proficiency.
• Ability to maintain emotional control under high-pressure situations.

Preferred

• Successful experience in a fast-paced, multitasking environment.
• Experience with or knowledge of IPC-610 and ANSI J STD 001 standards.
