Project Engineer

About the role

Samet Corporation, a leading construction and real estate development services firm based in Greensboro, NC, is seeking entry-level Project Engineers for its Charlotte, NC office. Founded in 1961, Samet Corporation has a strong culture of teamwork and innovation, empowering Associates to make decisions confidently.

Responsibilities

• Obtaining construction related permits from local agencies
• Assisting in subcontractor solicitation and contracting
• Ensuring proper notices are filed and posted
• Updating a variety of project logs, status reports, and communication
• Supporting the Project Manager and project team by performing other duties as needed

Requirements

• A bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field of study
• Experience working with a general contractor, either in a full-time role or through an internship
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office

Qualifications

• Strong problem-solving and organizational skills
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively
• Excellent attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Skills

• Construction management or engineering knowledge
• Project management experience
• Permits and contract management expertise
