Project Engineer

About the role

Ralph L. Wadsworth Construction (RLW) is looking for driven, ambitious Project Engineers to join a focused, collaborative team dedicated to delivering innovative, high-quality infrastructure projects across the country. At RLW, you’ll support project managers in day-to-day operations while gaining hands-on experience in cost tracking, documentation, safety, and coordination.

Responsibilities

• Track and manage project costs, forecasts, and reports
• Handle RFIs, submittals, invoices, and contract documentation
• Support procurement, scheduling, and project startup/closeout
• Assist with safety, quality, and risk management
• Coordinate with subcontractors and vendors
• Support Project Manager in day-to-day operations

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or construction management and 2+ years of experience in civil construction — or 3+ years of hands-on field experience
• Solid understanding of field operations, construction practices, and project workflows
• Familiarity with Viewpoint and scheduling software (a plus)
• Strong communicator and relationship-builder who can lead through influence, drive change, and deliver results across teams
