Nature & Scope
Reporting To The Director Of Strategic Capital Projects, The Incumbent Will Be Working On-site With Plant Engineering Managers And Manufacturing Teams To Ensure Capital Project Success.
Project Engineer Responsibilities
- Aid in defining project scope and objectives, involving all relevant internal stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility
- Ensure resource availability and allocation to deliver the projects on-time, within scope and budget
- Cook up internal resources and third parties for the flawless execution of the project
- Delegate project tasks based on members' individual strengths, skill sets, and experience levels
- Be present onsite for the most critical parts of the project to ensure no disconnect happens
- Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation
- Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans to be shared with clients as well as other staff members
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Project Engineer Requirements
- Strong leadership skills: can lead a team of individuals at various levels within the organization through coaching and mentoring
- Proven working experience in project management: has successfully managed large, complex projects within budgeted resources to completion with outstanding results
- Excellent developer of people; able to achieve results through others
- Outstanding communications and presentation skills
- Developing and Tracking Budgets
- Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multitasking skills
- Bachelor's Degree in appropriate field of study or equivalent work experience. Civil / Structural / Mechanical Engineering Degrees preferred
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Strong AutoCAD experience or similar design/drafting software knowledge
- On-field overseeing of daily operations for the most critical parts of the project
- Travel up to an average of 60% of the time, depending on the specific phase of the project
