Project Engineer

Nature & Scope

Reporting To The Director Of Strategic Capital Projects, The Incumbent Will Be Working On-site With Plant Engineering Managers And Manufacturing Teams To Ensure Capital Project Success.

Project Engineer Responsibilities

• Aid in the definition of project scope and objectives, involving all relevant internal stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility
• Ensure resource availability and allocation to deliver the projects on-time, within scope and budget
• Cover internal resources and third parties for the flawless execution of the project
• Delegate project tasks based on members' individual strengths, skill sets, and experience levels
• Be present onsite for the most critical parts of the project to ensure no disconnect happens
• Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation
• Develop a detailed project plan to monitor and track progress
• Create and maintain comprehensive project plans to be shared with clients as well as other staff members
• Perform other related duties as assigned

Project Engineer Requirements

• Strong leadership skills: can lead a team of individuals at various levels within the organization through coaching and mentoring
• Promising working experience in project management: has successfully managed large, complex projects within budgeted resources to completion with outstanding results
• Excellent developer of people; able to achieve results through others
• Outstanding communications and presentation skills
• Developing and Tracking Budgets
• Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multitasking skills
• Bachelor's Degree in appropriate field of study or equivalent work experience. Civil / Structural / Mechanical Engineering Degrees preferred
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office
• Strong AutoCAD experience or similar design/drafting software knowledge
• On-field overseeing of daily operations for the most critical parts of the project
• Travel up to an average of 60% of the time, depending on the specific phase of the project
