About the role
PCI is seeking an experienced Project Engineer for its PCI Indianapolis, IN 551 Mechanical Insulation operations based in Carmel, IN.
Responsibilities
- Perform labor control on assigned projects, including setup and maintenance
- Prepare RFI’s and submittals
- Quantitative takeoffs to verify estimates, order materials, and price change orders
- Create and implement job schedules and coordinate with field supervisors and foremen
- Create and manage punch lists and job closeout documentation
- Support the Quality Control measures outlined in the QA/QC program
- Assist in other duties as assigned
Requirements
- At least 2 years’ experience supporting or managing construction projects
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite products (e.g., Excel, Word, etc.)
- Clear understanding of how to read and interpret specifications and drawings
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Ability to learn new skills by engaging in the technical job functions and applying new skills as they're learned
- Strong customer service skills and relationship-building abilities
- Ability to prioritize and multitask while handling multiple projects concurrently
- Motivated self-starter with strong work ethic and a willingness to take initiative
- Works well under pressure and deadlines
- Possess critical-thinking and problem-solving skills
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Construction Science, or related discipline (preferred)
- Experience managing specialty scopes of construction (preferred)
- OSHA certification (preferred)
- If not local to Indianapolis Metro area, must be willing to relocate
This role is not eligible for visa sponsorship and is safety-sensitive.
Pay
$75,100 - $101,000 annual salary plus non-guaranteed annualized bonus program.
