Project Engineer

About the role

Help facilitate project delivery and administrative requirements related to planning, management, and communication through effective day-to-day administration and coordination of projects. Work closely with Project Managers, Superintendents, and other project team members, including clients, in support of the success of a project.

Responsibilities

• Develop industry relationships and expand professional networks that have potential to generate future sales opportunities.
• Create and maintain internal and external project logs as necessary.
• Maintain internal and external reports as necessary.
• Assist the Project Manager(s) with updating project tasks in software systems in conjunction with processing Requests for Information, Submittals, Drawing Logs, and other management tools.
• Ensure the proper bid documents are sent to bidders for various bid packages as they come online.
• Build and maintain the bidders list.
• Maintain current construction documents.
• Receive and act accordingly on RFIs from contractors.
• Review and process submittals; maintain submittal log.
• Support the management of the day-to-day project including but not limited to: responding to pay requests, change orders, RFIs, submittals, contracts, purchase orders, and closeout.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Building Science, Construction Management, or Civil Engineering.
• 0-2 years of experience in large, complex facility construction and on-site experience in the management of new construction and the renovation of existing assets.
• Basic MEP knowledge.
• Proficient in MS Office.
• Valid Driver's License.
• LEED AP Preferred.

Work is performed primarily in an outdoor setting with exposure to all types of weather and temperature conditions, and travel from site to site.
