Responsibilities
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness.
- Develop and validate new manufacturing processes and methods.
- Maintain mechanical systems and equipment.
- Investigate equipment failures and recommend corrective actions.
- Establish reliability programs to maximize equipment uptime.
- Lead and coordinate cost-saving projects and kaizen events.
- Support plant-wide safety and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Collect and analyze empirical data to identify opportunities.
- Develop models of alternate designs or processes to assess feasibility and sustainability.
- Work cross-functionally with production, quality, and maintenance teams.
- Communicate project status, data, and ideas effectively across all levels.
Requirements
- 5 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing concepts and tools a plus.
- Experience leading project and working in a team environment.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing, or Process Engineering (or similar).
Training and Skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CAD (UniGraphics preferred).
- Ability to perform time studies, develop cost standards, and manage process changes.
- Effective communication and presentation skills.
