Key Responsibilities
- Support new product development and sustaining engineering activities from concept through production launch, ensuring alignment with defined product, cost, quality, safety, and regulatory requirements
- Work cross-functionally with engineering, manufacturing, quality, regulatory, sourcing, and supply chain teams to support product development and project execution
- Ensure product compliance with applicable quality, safety, and regulatory requirements and escalate risks as appropriate
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Engineering (Mechanical Engineering or Plastics Engineering preferred)
- 4+ years product development experience preferably with plastics
- Problem Solving, Organizational, Planning and prioritization, multi-tasking skills
- Basic competency with CAD (Solidworks or Creo) with ability to complete detailed review of 3D models and assessment of 2D drawings
- Working knowledge of quality methods and systems, including statistics, sampling, auditing, and structured problem-solving methodologies
- Understanding of plastic molding and extrusion manufacturing process, capabilities and design requirements desired
- Demonstrates strong interpersonal and project management skills
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Preferred Qualifications
- Competencies with other materials and manufacturing technologies (e.g., metals)
- Experience in consumer product
- Experience/competency with Electronics
