Project Engineer

Brief Description

Middleburg Communities is seeking a Project Engineer for various multifamily construction projects. This role requires technical and field support to the Project Manager, Superintendent, and Subcontractor.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Ensure enforcement of company safety program policies and compliance with local, state, and federal laws.
• Manage electronic document files, hyperlinks (RFIs, submittals, sketches, and inspections), and notify team members of updates.
• Maintain a master list of sketches, specifications, and drawings throughout the project.
• Manage the submittal process, including creating submittal logs, receiving submittals, compliance reviews, submissions, tracking, and distribution to the project team.
• Manage the RFI process, including creating RFIs, submissions, tracking, hyperlinking, and distribution to the project team.
• Support documentation of site meetings.
• Maintain an electronic as-built drawing package or redlined as-built plans.
• Support the Project Team with documentation, permit tracking, scheduling inspections, contacting subcontractors, and other miscellaneous tasks.
• Aid in the collection and management of project close-out documentation, including receipt of necessary documentation from subcontractors, assembly of close-out documents, binder compilation, and transmission of information.
• Participate in the project turnover process and track completion of punch list items, distributing the final punch list to responsible subcontractors.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management, Business, Engineering, or related field.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365, and understanding of Procore.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to assess and prioritize tasks, projects, and demands.
• Organizational and interpersonal skills.
