Essential Functions
- Aid Project Manager and Superintendent in all tasks, including preconstruction.
- Procure subcontractors and suppliers, including pricing, scoping, and purchasing.
- Schedule and conduct baseline and bi-weekly updates.
- Create scopes for subcontracts and purchase orders.
- Review, transmit, record, and track submittals and deliver critical items.
- Pricing, submitting, recording, and tracking of Requests for Change Orders and Change Orders.
- Document and incorporate all design changes and sketches into contract drawings and distribute to subcontractors and suppliers.
- Compile closeout documentation, including record drawings and Operations and Maintenance manuals.
- Prepare and complete punch lists.
- Attend and record minutes from meetings with owners, foremen, commissioning teams, etc.
- Assist in preparing monthly progress billings and approving subcontractor/supplier billings.
- Track LEED documentation, including submittals, logs, and photo documentation, and coordinate commissioning.
- Develop and track Requests for Information (RFIs), and record and respond to responses.
- Support quality control efforts alongside Superintendent and Project Manager.
- Provide BIM support on projects that require it, using tools like Revit or Navisworks.
Requirements
- Associate's degree required.
- Bachelor of Science in Architecture, Engineering, or Construction Management preferred.
- Two (2) years' experience in a Project Engineer role for projects similar to those constructed by Lewis preferred.
- Experience with contracts over $10 million a strong plus.
- Required experience with Microsoft Office Suite and MS Project.
- Preferred experience with project management software, Primavera P6, and Sage Timberline.
- Familiarity with the USGBC LEED System is a plus.
- Preferred experience with BIM Software (Revit or Navisworks).
