Job Summary
Responsibilities
- Assist in the development of project plans, schedules, and budgets in collaboration with project managers and other team members.
- Review project specifications, drawings, and technical documents to understand project requirements and identify engineering challenges.
- Cook with architects, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure that design requirements are met, and engineering standards are maintained.
- Assist in the procurement of materials, equipment, and subcontractor services required for project execution.
- Conduct site visits and inspections to monitor construction progress, identify potential issues, and ensure compliance with design and safety standards.
- Analyze engineering data, perform calculations, and prepare technical reports and documentation as needed.
- Aid in the resolution of technical issues and challenges encountered during project execution.
- Collaborate with project teams to identify and implement value engineering opportunities and cost-saving measures.
- Communicate project updates, milestones, and challenges to project stakeholders in a clear and timely manner.
- Ensure that all work is performed in accordance with project specifications, quality standards, and regulatory requirements.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, construction engineering, or related field.
- Previous experience as a project engineer or similar role in the construction industry preferred.
- Proficiency in engineering software and tools, such as AutoCAD, Revit, and MS Office Suite.
- Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and building codes.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with diverse teams and stakeholders.
- Able to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with project management principles and methodologies.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification preferred.
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to project sites as needed.
