About the role

KE&G Construction Inc. is seeking a Project Engineer in Sierra Vista, AZ. The ideal candidate will have a strong desire to learn, grow, and advance within the company, along with a bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field, or equivalent construction experience.

Responsibilities

  • Support implementation and enforcement of Company and Project Safety Plans
  • Cook with field teams to address safety, quality, and technical needs
  • Aid in developing and maintaining Hazard Risk Analysis (HRA) matrices
  • Track and analyze project production, quantities, and performance
  • Manage material procurement, tracking, and delivery schedules
  • Cook with subcontractors, vendors, and internal teams to maintain project schedules
  • Prepare, submit, and track project submittals, RFIs, and other documentation
  • Aid Project Managers with pay applications, change orders, and financial reporting
  • Aid with project controls including budgeting, forecasting, and cost tracking
  • Assist with permitting, utility locates (Blue Stake), and pre-construction planning
  • Maintain accurate project documentation and reporting records
  • Participate in project meetings and coordinate communication between stakeholders

Requirements

  • Highly motivated
  • Functional knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
  • Strong understanding of construction plans, specifications, and project documentation
  • Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record
  • Ability to pass pre-employment and random drug screenings (safety-sensitive position)
  • Ability to work in both office and field environments

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field, or equivalent construction experience (4+ years preferred)
