About the role
KE&G Construction Inc. is seeking a Project Engineer in Sierra Vista, AZ. The ideal candidate will have a strong desire to learn, grow, and advance within the company, along with a bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field, or equivalent construction experience.
Responsibilities
- Support implementation and enforcement of Company and Project Safety Plans
- Cook with field teams to address safety, quality, and technical needs
- Aid in developing and maintaining Hazard Risk Analysis (HRA) matrices
- Track and analyze project production, quantities, and performance
- Manage material procurement, tracking, and delivery schedules
- Cook with subcontractors, vendors, and internal teams to maintain project schedules
- Prepare, submit, and track project submittals, RFIs, and other documentation
- Aid Project Managers with pay applications, change orders, and financial reporting
- Aid with project controls including budgeting, forecasting, and cost tracking
- Assist with permitting, utility locates (Blue Stake), and pre-construction planning
- Maintain accurate project documentation and reporting records
- Participate in project meetings and coordinate communication between stakeholders
Requirements
- Highly motivated
- Functional knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
- Strong understanding of construction plans, specifications, and project documentation
- Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record
- Ability to pass pre-employment and random drug screenings (safety-sensitive position)
- Ability to work in both office and field environments
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field, or equivalent construction experience (4+ years preferred)
