Project Engineer

About the role

A dynamic and experienced Permanent Project Engineer is needed to join our Construction team. This role involves working on diverse projects from inception to completion, ensuring high-quality construction projects are delivered successfully.

Responsibilities

• Managing RFIs, submittals, change orders, and project logs to ensure all project requirements are met and documented.
• Assisting Project Managers and Superintendents with daily project coordination and documentation, ensuring all tasks are completed on schedule and within budget.
• Tracking project schedules, budgets, and procurement activities to ensure all project resources are utilized effectively.
• Coordinating with subcontractors, consultants, and design teams to ensure all project tasks are executed according to plan and specifications.
• Supporting jobsite meetings and maintaining meeting minutes to ensure all project stakeholders are informed of project progress and any issues or changes.
• Reviewing plans, specifications, and contract documents for accuracy and constructability, ensuring all project designs are feasible and comply with all relevant regulations and standards.
• Assisting with project closeout documentation and turnover, ensuring all project deliverables are completed and handed over to the client in a timely manner.

Qualifications

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in a Project Engineer role or similar within the Construction industry.
• Proven experience managing RFIs, submittals, change orders, and project logs.
• Strong experience assisting Project Managers and Superintendents with daily project coordination and documentation.
• Experience tracking project schedules, budgets, and procurement activities.
• Experience coordinating with subcontractors, consultants, and design teams.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to support jobsite meetings and maintain meeting minutes.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to review plans, specifications, and contract documents for accuracy and constructability.
• Experience assisting with project closeout documentation and turnover.
• A degree in Engineering or a related field is preferred.
