Project Engineer

Responsibilities

• Manage complex factory transformation projects
• Manage the implementation of a new plant layout / plant transformation
• Organize project teams and assign individual responsibilities
• Develop project scope, schedules, and cost estimates
• Determine resource and contracting requirements
• Monitor and report on the status of projects including cost, timing, and staffing
• Adequately ensure adherence to internal and external quality standards
• Identify and resolve obstacles to completing project on time and to budget
• Integrate vendor tasks into the project plan and track and review vendor deliverables

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in business administration, Industrial Engineering, or any related field along with 5 years' relevant experience in a manufacturing environment or industrial setting, OR at least 10 years of relevant experience in managing heavy manufacturing projects if without degree
• Relevant experience: Managing projects within a manufacturing environment or industrial setting, coordinating launches for new production equipment
• Must be able to manage a project team in a fast paced and pressured environment
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications; Excel. Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Preferred Skills

• Strong industrial project background
• Experienced in managing complex layout changes in a manufacturing plant
• Leverage Lean Manufacturing background in a plus for this role
