Project Engineer

About the role

The Project Engineer will report to the Project Manager or Area Manager. This position will require a high level of collaboration with all team members including the client, contractor, and construction manager to successfully complete the project on time and on budget.

Responsibilities

• Aids the Project Manager in coordinating overall delivery of the project scope of work, including delivery to safety, cost, schedule and quality objectives.
• Collaborates with other project functions such as engineering, contracts and procurement, quality, construction and commissioning to deliver the project scope of work.
• Manages interfaces with other project areas, including scope battery limits, contract and contractor interfaces, and workfront management and resource prioritization, to achieve overall project outcomes.
• Monitors and manages change, risk, and issue identification, initiation of project change notices, and corresponding risk controls, and prepares response plans to project deviations.

Requirements

• Education: Degree in engineering or related field of study.
• Experience: 5+ years of heavy industrial experience.
• Skills: Project management competencies.
• Previous Site Experience: Preferred.
