Project Engineer

About the role

Harder Mechanical is a leading mechanical contractor operating in the 11 western states, with regional offices in Nevada, Arizona, California, and Utah. We specialize in commercial buildings, advanced technology, and industrial projects.

Responsibilities

• Plan, schedule, and execute specific project scopes
• Coordinate with field labor to ensure safety, adherence to plans, and quality
• Resolve engineering issues and communicate with various stakeholders
• Monitor construction progress and update status weekly
• Organize project records and document control
• Mentor new engineers and assist the project manager with additional duties
• Estimate future work

Requirements

• Proficient in Microsoft Office & Bluebeam (intermediate Excel skills)
• Knowledge of mechanical systems and experience reading drawings
• Ability to communicate effectively with diverse groups
• Self-motivated and proactive
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Commitment to teamwork and client satisfaction
• Interest in LEAN construction principles
• Valid driver’s license
• Mechanical aptitude

Qualifications

• 3-10 years of construction management experience
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Business Management, Mechanical, Industrial, Civil Engineering, or equivalent experience
