What You’ll Be Doing
- Plan and execute assigned mechanical scopes on large mission critical data center projects
- Coordinate daily with superintendents, foremen, subcontractors, vendors, designers, and owners to maintain project progress
- Review mechanical, plumbing, piping, and equipment drawings to verify constructability and identify potential conflicts before installation
- Develop work packages, installation plans, and short-term look-ahead schedules that support field execution
- Track labor productivity, quantities installed, earned value, and percent complete
- Prepare labor forecasts, equipment forecasts, and cost projections for assigned scopes
- Cookordination procurement activities including material releases, purchase orders, fabrication status, deliveries, and inventory management
- Coordinate commissioning activities, startup planning, system turnover, and owner acceptance
- Identify project risks early and work collaboratively to develop solutions
- Mentor Field Engineers and provide guidance as they develop their technical and project management skills
- Promote Harder's safety culture by ensuring all work is planned and executed safely
What You Will Need to Be Successful in This Role
- Understanding of mechanical construction systems including HVAC, piping, plumbing, process piping, and equipment installation
- Ability to interpret mechanical coordination drawings, shop drawings, and BIM models
- Experience coordinating with multiple trades in fast-paced construction environments
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
- Comfortable working in remote project locations and active construction environments
- Working knowledge of Primavera P6, Bluebeam, Procore, Microsoft Project, and Microsoft Excel (preferred)
Education/Experience
- 1 - 4 years of construction management experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Business Management, Mechanical, Industrial, Civil Engineering and/or equivalent experience or education
