Project Engineer
Key Responsibilities
- Aid in the creation of project cost estimates, proposals, and material take-offs.
- Analyze the remediation methodologies of previously remediated projects.
- Perform administrative or office duties as needed.
- Travel to project sites for extended durations.
- Comply with all federal, state, and local regulations.
Field Tasks
- Create project submittals.
- Maintain project record documents.
- Review contract plans and specifications for technical aspects.
- Oversee and document project quality control according to contract plans, specifications, and company policies.
- Prepare daily construction reports and track progress.
- Manage, interpret, and perform site surveying.
- Supervise subcontractor activities.
- Assist with equipment and material procurement or rental.
- Support Project Manager with daily cost reporting and tracking.
- Contribute to additional assignments and special projects as directed.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- 0-3 years of experience in construction or engineering.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and basic project management software.
- Ability to read and interpret construction documents.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Valid driver’s license, capable of driving for the company.
Preferred Qualifications
- Internship or co-op experience in construction or engineering, particularly in site surveying, earthwork, In-Situ Stabilization, mechanics of solids (soils), hydraulics, theory of structure, strength of materials, engineering geology.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D, Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, and USACE QCS systems.
- Experience with site surveying using both conventional and GPS methods.
- Assisting in the development of cost estimates and proposals.
- Experience with materials procurement and purchasing.

Physical Demands & Work Environment
- Frequent computer use and effective communication required.
- Site work may involve extended periods of standing or walking.
- Required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Potential exposure to heavy equipment, chemicals, dust, fumes, uneven terrain, and extreme weather conditions.
