Project Engineer

What You Will Be Doing

• Review contract and specifications in its entirety
• Auxiliary support to Project Manager and Project Superintendent
• Auxiliary support to all schedule preparations and updates
• Auxiliary support to quantity reporting, project costs and forecasting
• Obtain pricing from subcontractors and vendors to include change orders
• Requisition equipment and material deliveries as required
• Congruent with subcontractors, suppliers and workforce to resolve project challenges and conflicts
• Auxiliary support to monthly billing, cash flow projections, and change order processing
• Manage document control to include submittal schedules, contract documents, project record drawings, etc.
• Review Heavy Jobdaily reports for accuracy
• Prepare and maintain technical submittal list, NPDES permits, Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plan, and Project Progress Schedule as required
• Comply with notice requirements such as inspections, survey staking, joint measurements with owner and/or engineer, utility locations and adjustments, testing, claims, etc.
• Issue correspondence to subcontractors and vendors when revised plans and/or specifications affect products or services
• Auxiliary support to project closeout
• Perform additional assignments per the Project Manager’s direction

What We Are Looking For

• Bachelor's Degree in a related field required
• 2+ years of construction engineering experience required
• Beginner knowledge of construction equipment & techniques, drawing & specifications, building materials and required standards applicable to the project
• Ability to assume responsibility, interface and communicate effectively with others
• Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently and effectively in a fast-paced environment
• Knowledge of construction scheduling and production time management preferred

About the Role

As a Project Engineer with Prince Contracting, you will leverage your technical knowledge to oversee critical aspects of our projects, ensuring construction work complies with all engineering standards, codes and contract specifications. This role will be project based in Orlando, FL. For the past 40 years Prince Contracting has been a civil construction leader across Florida. Qualifications
